ABOUT HARLEY'S HUSTLE

OUR STORY

Harley’s Hustle is an annual event in memory of our daughter, Harley McKenna, who passed away at 40 weeks and 1 day and was delivered stillborn on June 26th, 2018. We were blessed with the comfort and warmth of a community, professionals, and friends that gave us support through our grief. The stories are many and joyous. Nurses, doctors, funeral directors, community leaders, pastors, and more made such a positive impact. In an effort for us to pay it forward, add to Harley’s legacy, and work to see that we can spread awareness of the commonality of this event, Harley’s Hustle began.

OUR WORK

We created Harley’s Hustle to spread support to others in their time of need. This event helps send support to families experiencing loss as well as funds scholarships for future professionals that will work in areas that will support these events. Harley’s Hustle provides wind chimes to families that have experienced a loss for their own memory and also funds scholarship to high school students going into professions that are directly involved in infant and pregnancy loss. Together, we are strong and can show that this experience is all too common. Together we can show support and care. The race is intended for anyone wishing to show support. Whatever the reason, all are welcome. Perhaps you or a loved family or friend has experienced a loss of some kind. Or perhaps you would like to participate to show your support for others, though you yourself may not be connected to a loss. We want anyone and everyone who comes to enjoy the company of others and support this cause.
